How many people have a National Forest just a few hundred feet from their front door—and a series of trails in this National Forest with several choices of unique and magical loops to take?
We do!
Today we took our family on this trail. It’s one of our favorite go-to trails—the Pine-Strawberry Trail. We don't even have to drive to the trailhead---we walk to it.
Here are some photos of all of us hiking together.
After this extra special hike, I fixed breakfast with our dear grandsons. We have made so many blueberry, M&M, and chocolate chip pancakes together that we are a real “Cooking Trio” in the kitchen!
Then we all headed down to Pine and explored all the quaint shops and antique stores that you can only find in a few small towns that are off the beaten path. They are a gem that have a spirit of their own and should be treasured.
Emily, Sean, Soren, and Sebastian were just as charmed as we are by this small mountain hamlet of Pine, Arizona where we live so many months of the year.
Luckily, we have several more days with our Georgia family…..and we plan to have more adventures with longs, loving talks together on these precious days.
Life is good. We are so lucky to have so much family to love and cherish.
