Hiking the Arizona Trail with Soren

It is something special to spend a day with Soren.  He finds everything interesting and fun and curious about the world around him.  He is full of questions, wise observations, and humorous comments and jokes.  

When Soren was very young we went camping and hiking with him at Deception Pass. Suddenly he exclaimed, “Let’s get a family picture!”  His enthusiasm and love of life was infectious even when he was a little child, and it still is.  

Here is our “family picture” almost a decade later.

After a beautiful day hiking with Soren, we surprised him with a birthday cake.  We won’t be with him on his birthday, so we had the joy of singing “Happy Birthday” to him in our lovely home, Nuestra Casa.
