Heading south

We left the Oglala National Grasslands in northern Nebraska three days ago.

We needed water, a place for our trash, propane, and food......and a shower would be nice.

Our first stop, 200 miles south, was in Ogallala, Nebraska.

We found a small RV campground where we could get water, do laundry, and take showers.  It was clean and friendly.

Our goal for the second day was the Cimarron National Grasslands, in Kansas.  350 more miles south.

We arrived to find disappointment.  There were no places to pull off to camp, and it was ugly.

We finally found a dreary spot to camp.  Watched the election returns.  More ugly.

So we left early the next morning and headed to the Comanche National Grasslands in Colorado.  Hoping for better luck at least in the camping and hking parts of our lives.

And found beauty.  We will stay several days here.
