Snowing, 30 degrees, 20 mph wind: Desert weather at Joshua Tree

This was the thermometer this morning, while it was snowing and blowing outside:

Two days ago we were looking for a shady spot to sit and have lunch on our hike.

Seemed like a perfect day to do laundry, get caught up on correspondence, and do grocery shopping.

Tomorrow will be better, but it sure is weird.
