Here we are, Grandma and Grandpa Santa, wrapping Christmas presents for all our good little grandchildren and children…..
…..and decorating our home with love.
Grandpa spends hours setting up all the Snow Village town and countryside every year. This is his favorite part of decorating for Christmas…and he certainly turns our living room into a magical Christmas Land!
….. we’re riding our bikes and dancing together in this Christmas scene. This is our life, both here and at our cabin. Oh, what a life we have. We love it!
This vintage Santa Claus had been Grandpa Vernon Burt’s. He had brought it out every Christmas for over 80 years.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without Christmas cookies. I’ve made three batches of our favorite Christmas cookies. When Soren and Sebastian arrive to celebrate Christmas with us, we’re going to make our batch kind of cookies—gingerbread men and women. I promised our grandsons that we would frost gingerbread cookies together. Grandpa and I can hardly wait!
And of course, I made my Christmas fudge to put in all our family’s gift boxes, as I have done for over fifty years….Grandma Vicky’s Christmas Fudge.
And gingerbread cookies for Soren and Sebastian (and Emily) to frost when they visit us at Christmas time.
Lighting up the Snow Village….
We had fun admiring all the Snow Village people and placing every person, just so, in our Christmas Land paradise.
Our stockings are hung by the window with care.
We’re all ready for Santa and his reindeer to visit us. We’ve been an awesomely good little girl and boy….just ask us. So we’re sure that Mr. and Mrs. Santa will be very good to us this year.
A plate of cookies and a glass of milk will be waiting for you, dear Santa. Just look for our home. We’ve left the lights on for you!
Okay, so we’re a little early, Santa, but that’s just us—we’re always early. We’ll be patient. Your milk and cookies will be waiting for you. We promise that we won’t eat them (all).
