We were unloading several boxes from the car, when the children ran down to give us our hugs, as they always do. Vernon immediately took the biggest box that was in Grandpa’s arms and without us asking him to, carried it into their home.
Robert ran to me and asked for the gallon of hand soap that I had grabbed out of our car. I told him that it was VERY heavy but, undeterred, he grabbed it from me and held it close against his chest. He tromped with his 8 pound load over 60 feet slightly uphill from our car to the steps, not dropping it even once.
Then his problem began….getting the gallon container up the steps, when it was darn near as big as he is. He tried several methods, used all of his strength, and his super brain power to solve this problem. Getting the soap up each step, Robert had to use a different technique for each step. We all watched him in amazement….he’s not even two years old yet!
This was one time that we wish I had had my camera out and ready to get a video of our little grandson solving one of live's big problems.
What a demonstration of ingenuity and determination!
This little toddler is going to be able to do anything in life that he sets his mind to do.
