Every afternoon we sit high up on the cliffs where the Turtle (our camper) is nestled in the pinyon junipers. We ponder the wonders of our life, our family and the world as we gaze into the vast valley below us…where magnificent sandstone rock slabs cover the hillside that climbs to the top of the far side of the valley.
So of course, just like the bear who climbed over the mountain to see what he could see, we needed to climb down into this valley. We just climbed/slid down the rocks behind Danny!
Then we hiked along these rock slabs that extend for more than a half mile from the south to north….and west to a Comb Wash overlook!
We climbed to the top of the far hill to see what was on the other side of the mountain. There spread below us was Comb Wash!
And to the south….above the Old 95 Dugway!
We just keep coming back to this unique place. We were here two years ago. We rested for a bit, and my Danny’s took his coffee break above Comb Wash.
