Somewhere in the great outdoors, United States
As children of the 50s we lived on the edge of town & had miles of open fields right across the street. We are now retired, & have returned to our childhoods—spending most of our time playing outdoors.

We have spent 3-1/3 of the past 13 years living in our camper in the bed of a pickup—roaming the country in search of remote areas to hike. We have traveled 55,000+ miles, in 28 states, camped in 350+ campsites (mostly dispersed), and trekked over 4900 miles.

We have also returned to our childhoods by becoming serious cyclists (33,000 miles in 12 yrs.)

Our major love is ballroom dancing.

We recently bought a cabin in the high desert mountains where we have access to hundreds of miles of hiking and mountain cycling. This blog is our diary of the experiences & adventures we have had.
