Soul mates dancing in the desert mountains

Dan spends hours compiling dance playlists.  He has an unusual and amazing memory for music, and he uses this ability to remember songs from his childhood, movie scores, TV shows, and musicals.  Almost every day he adds more songs that he remembers to our playlists.  He also adds songs that have had special meaning to him, songs that were always my favorite as a child and adult, and most importantly, songs that have been part of our courtship and our life together.

These songs that we dance to would be categorized as “The Oldies.”

In fact, as I was writing this blog post in the bed of our camper, Dan was lying next to me, playing beautiful music.  I realized that he was finding more songs to put on our next dance playlist.  He didn’t know that I was writing about him…..isn’t he a sweetie!

It is a joy to dance to all this beautiful music that he has compiled. I know that all this effort my Danny has done is an act of love for me, and I appreciate it.  This creates even more meaning every time that he takes me in his arms, looks into my eyes, and we create beauty through our dance and love.

We had so much fun dancing in the mountains, that Dan put together another dance list, and we danced again the very next day.  This is just what a camping trip should be….doing exactly what we want to do each day!

Early in the morning on the day we danced in the desert, the full moon shone brightly on the mountains that surrounded us.  It was in the low 40’s, but we cuddled together snug in our little camper.

The sun rose and warmed us and the earth.

Nothing is more magical than being held in the arms of the love of your life, dancing to beautiful music in the middle of the nowhere….with no one else in our world.

The birds sang to us as we danced.  And we danced and danced in the early morning sunlight.

We were having such a wonderful time camping, that we stayed an extra day—eight days total.  We decided to dance again.  This trip was like a dream come true…camping under the full moon, stunning hikes, endless dancing together!

As we dance, we enter our perfect world.  Our two bodies become one, floating to the music in each other’s arms.
