For Vicky’s Birthday camping trip we found a sweet campsite on the edge of the Mogollon Rim. at 7,500 feet elevation—due north of Payson and 2,000 feet above our cabin in Pine, Arizona.
We left our cabin an hour ago and less than an hour later we arrived at this magnificent campsite, practically outside our back door!
We can look at the world spread out beneath us as far as the eye can see to the south.
We brought both our trucks, the Turtle for sleeping and cooking and the Desert Rat with our bikes hitched to the back. For the next 4-5 days we are going to hike and cycle in the midst of all this beauty.
Oh, and our campsite has a “dance floor”, so we’re also going to dance high up….on the edge of the World!
