Our grandson Adam plays in the Regional Flag Football playoff

Adam's flag football team won their division in Seattle, so were eligible to play in a regional contest.  Unfortunately (actually, for us, fortunately) there wasn't a regional playoff in Washington so his team decided to travel to Arizona for one.

Turns out they were going to play an hour away from us.  Great luck for us because not only were we able to see the games, but also got to squeeze in another visit with Adam.

They didn't win, but they played hard.  They were up against some massive competition.  There is a huge size and athletic difference between 12-year-olds and 14-year-olds (and some 15-year-olds since if they started the season when they were 14 but turned 15 during the season they could still play).

Many of the boys on the other teams were adult size.  And played football on their high school teams.

But Adam and his team played on, worked hard, did their best.

And we are so proud of him!!!

(here is his team;  the largest person in the photo is their coach, not a player.  He is 15 years old and organized the entire expedition here on his own--a great accomplishment for him too)

Adam plays center.
