Preparing for Road Trip 8

8?

Can it really be true that we have taken 7 road trips?

To quote Madeleine Kahn in Blazing Saddles:  "It's TWUE!  It's TWUE!"

We have been all over our wonderful country in the past seven years, hiking thousands of miles in it.  We have found history, beauty, and peace.

But this year is different.

We aren't packing for a camping trip.  We are, instead, packing our camper as if it is a moving van.

And the reason is that, in some respect, we actually are moving.

We have another home now, in Mesa, AZ, in Leisure World, a retirement community.

So this year we are moving as much as we can to our new home.  After we get there we will plan for our camping/hiking trips, using that new home as our winter base.  It is a new way of living for us.

We are leaving in less than three weeks.  We will be gone from our Whidbey Island home for eight months.  A big change for us.  We are so excited.
