Emily really likes Leisure World…and she likes us too!

And we really like Emily too.  As Dad Graybill said to me, “Vicky, I love you.  But even more important, I like you.”

This is the third spring that Emily has made a special trip to visit us in Leisure World….solo.  All by herself, no kids, no Sean.  She comes here to see us and hang out in Leisure World…and get some rest.

This is her time.  She gets to do whatever she wants.  And we get to spend days pampering her.  We love it!

We packed the refrigerator with all of Emily’s favorite veggies….

….and Beyond Burgers and lots of ice cream….

Nothing’s better with ice cream than fresh baked cookies LOADED with chocolate chips, and nobody but me puts in enough chocolate chips.  Everyone says that there are an awful lot of chocolate chips. Then they eat every cookie…and ask for more!

Every morning Emily ran through the beautiful streets and paths of Leisure World, while I prepared our breakfast.

One morning before dawn, we took a walk on the paths surrounding our golf course and the serene lakes.  We were treated with a brilliant sunrise lighting up Nuestra Casa, our lovely home.

Emily has so many wonderful memories of visiting her grandparents in Leisure World as a child.  We always take a walk to the home that Mom and Dad lived in for 20 years.  And we say ‘hi’ to Mom and Dad, think about our days with them, and tell them how much we love them.

I also tell them that I will take good care of Danny, Kathy, and all their grandchildren.

Here we are, once again, talking to Mom and Dad…

We swam, took several walks every day, and talked and laughed together.  These days with Emily were very special.

We treasure each moment we spend with our children and grandchildren.  It is a gift.  Thank you, Emily!
