Headed to the Moab 240 in our Turtle

We have spent years in the Turtle, our truck/camper, on five month long road trips traveling all over our beautiful country.  We have camped, hiked, and danced in every state west of the Mississippi River, and across the USA from Washington State to the southern tip of Florida.

In these travels we have experienced unbelievable beauty and history.  We have so many stories of amazing places that we have discovered….hidden, unknown places that no one else we know talks about.

This week we headed north in the rain in the Turtle to volunteer for our daughter’s race, the Moab 240 endurance run. As we drove from our cabin in Pine, Arizona to Moab, Utah, we were once again stunned by the diversity and beauty that surrounds us in our country!

Out in the middle of nowhere, a billboard for a McDonalds.

An old fashioned "rest stop."

Anyone who has approached Moab from the south will recognize this landmark….

Here we are after our long eight hour drive as we enter Moab.  It was fun not only because there was so much beauty, but mostly because we were together.
