We took a hike at Ebey's Landing, where we went a bit over 7 years ago. To a spot where we had our first ever photo taken.
We tried to get a photo like the one we took then:
We will also dance today, and have the most scrumptious meal ever.
Seven years. They have flown by. We have enjoyed every minute of every hour of every day. We are truly blessed.

Soren visits us on Whidbey Island
This was the first time Soren could fly out to see us, so we planned a lot of fun outings and things to do.
We went for a walk in Saratoga Woods:
We went to Fort Casey State Park, to see the WWI guns and the lighthouse:
We camped at Deception Pass State Park:
The next photo is of the three of us taken five years earlier in the same spot:
Then we walked to the Whidbey Island County Fair:
Soren enjoyed his fruit and green vegetables we told his parents we got for him.
Renting a movie for our final night:

Marina & Stella meet Soren.....at the County Fair
Soren visited us this summer for a whole week! The Whidbey Island Fair was near the end of his visit, so we got to walk to the fair with Marina, Stella, and Soren. Our Whidbey Island granddaughters and our Georgian grandson got to meet each other and spend a day at the fair together. This was a special day!
First we watched the Fair parade with all the 4-H kids with their entries and animals march through the fairgrounds. Then off we went to see the girls fair entries.
After lots of greasy fair food, our grandchildren were off see the animals and to the whirley twirley rides:
Another fun day at the fair!

STP 2018 We finish our 7th STP
with Jules.
We are so pleased. We worked several months for this. 210 miles in two days. The heat was brutal, and we both had severe pain from saddle sores and the arthritis all around our bodies. But we made good time, and had an experience we will never forget. It does not get old. Every year it is a triumph for us.
