Comanche National Grasslands: Native American art defaced

We have spent the past week in the Comanche National Grasslands in south eastern Colorado.

The area is beautiful and full of history.  Amazing hiking.

But problems......

One distinctive feature of this area is the Native American Art.

 Another distinctive feature is the amount of graffiti and destruction that has occurred at these sites.

All there is for protection is signs that are both worthless and laughable ("Under Surveillance?"  By what?)

Here is something for the Agriculture Department to consider;

Why are the two stone etchings by two of General Custer's men preserved behind metal cages, but these much older etchings are not protected by anything?

Here is the structure for the two signatures by Custer's men on their way to the Little Big Horn.  It is impossible to get inside it to post graffiti.

An inconsistency someone should do something about.
