Bears Ears…five years later

In October of 2017, at this secluded spot that we discovered in Bear’s Ears National Monument, we celebrated 3,000 miles of hiking together in less than six years.

Five years later, after selling our home on Whidbey Island and moving to Nuestra Casa in Mesa, Dan undergoing open heart surgery and treatment for prostate cancer, and buying a log cabin in Pine, Arizona, we are back in Bear’s Ears at this exact same spot. And we are celebrating each other and life!

In these past five years, with all we have been through, we have walked and hiked almost 5,000 miles.  Our life is good.  We want every one of our days to be a good day in our lives….a day that we will always remember.
