Fun, food, loving family….

How time flies when you’re having fun!

That’s what happened last week in Georgia when we visited Emily, Sean, and our grandsons, Soren and Sebastian.  In the blink of an eye our trip was over.  But we will always have wonderful memories of our time together.

The joy and tenderness that we shared is evident in the pictures that we took during our week in Georgia.

Sebastian and Soren dancing for us.

Grandma and Grandpa out walking with Soren and Sebastian:

We drove north to the beautiful Georgia mountains to spend Labor Day weekend at Unicoi State Park.  We have stayed in a cabin at the park since 2017 (sans the covid years of 2020 and 2021).  This is our family tradition, and we all love it!

Here were are hanging out and being tourists in the quaint Bavarian town of Helen.

We gave Emily an early birthday present….a lap blanket that I made in her favorite colors.

Ever since Sebastian was a toddler he has helped me knit my projects.

“Life is full of blessings.”  The perfect picture of Soren and Sebastian with this sign that describes how we feel about them.

Look at the sign above Sean’s head…”Tired Husband’s Bench.”

Sebastian adopted Mila.

Poor Soren, he couldn’t get far enough away from Babyland.  Can you see him walking as fast as he can away from the Cabbage Patch dolls Birthing Hospital?

Soren may be a teenager and a super skater, but he is also incredibly sweet and loving.  He still gives Grandpa and me lots of hugs.

Sebastian wished us a sweet goodbye at five in the morning as we headed to the airport.

We already have our reservations at Unicoi State Park for Labor Day 2023!
