We wish they had never come…..

That is what my father said after every visit from his children and grandchildren:  "I wish you had never come."

And of course the reason he would say that was because he knew how awful it would be to miss us.

One of the places he said this, 34 years ago, was when we would leave Leisure World after visiting them here.

34 years we have been either visiting here or living here.  Hard to believe.  Never when we first visited them in Leisure World in 1988 did I think that one day I would live here.

.....and Vicky and I love it.

Sean, Emily, Soren, and Sebastian left yesterday.  They were here for five days.  We had a blast, as usual.

Here are some photos of their visit.  We celebrated Sean's birthday and Christmas.  Soren and Sebastian had started assembling model cars this fall, so we finished up both of them.  We went hiking in Peralta Canyon, we played basketball, shuffleboard, and tennis, the boys went to the pool, Emily swam laps with us, we took lots of walks.  We watched western movies.  Whew!

The boys helped Vicky make meals, including pancakes.  Yum.

 Arriving at the airport:

We celebrated an early birthday for Sean.

The next day we celebrated Christmas:

The Borja/Graybills in front of Dan's parents' home where they lived from 1988 to 2008, and where Emily and Sean visited often.

Soren and Sebastian enjoyed helping Grandma Vicky make (and eat) chocolate chips pancakes.

So, do we wish they had never come?  Hah.  We wish they were still here!
