Coping with the unexpected

For two nights in a row the propane alarm has gone off.  Both times when the furnace started running.  Lots of fun in the middle of the night--waiting for the explosion.

Both times, though, after resetting it, the alarm stayed quiet.  The first time we just thought it was a glitch, which we have read can happen.  Other chemicals (hair spray, etc.) can set it off, for example.

But when it happened two nights in a row, we decided we had to act.

So we packed up early from Madera Canyon and drove to Tucson.  We found a Lance Dealer there, and they squeezed us in because it was a situation where there could be some danger.

The place is called LazyDays.  It is HUGE!

There are something like 25 service bays, both with two sides, able to accommodate the RVZillas.  Then there is a large lot of new campers and a huge RV park.

They checked it out and said nothing was wrong.  There are false alarms for any number of reasons.

We really appreciated that they worked us in so quickly.  Because we couldn't make it to our next destination, they gave us a special rate for the RV park.  It has two swimming pools, lots of showers, the whole bit.  Very nice if that's what one wants.

Outside our spot was a grapefruit tree.  The people next door said people were encouraged to pick them, so Vicky got a couple.  I think it was a hazing ritual--tell the new people the grapefruit can be picked and then watch them get busted by security.  Glad we got out of there before that happened.
