Soren & Sebastian's final trip to Whidbey Island: June 2019

This was their final time they would ever visit us on Whidbey Island.

It was special.

We tried to do all of the fun things we could think of.

They are such fun children, so it's very easy.  Like it is with all of our grandchildren.  We are blessed.

 Crying because we are moving:

We went hiking in Saratoga Woods.

Then we had a Sorastian birthday party.  Grandma (of course) made her special boys a cake to share:

We spoiled them with movies.  Sebastian likes Westerns!

My two awesome cops:
Sebastian, with the book that features Vicky because she was one of the first female police officers in Seattle, and in the entire state.  She had to meet the same physical requirements as men, and graduated 4th in her class out of 2200 applicants. The next year they dropped the requirement that female cops meet the same physical requirements because none could.

She can still do pushups like a weight lifter.  Sebastian has lots of good role models, and she is one of them, if he wants to be a police officer when he grows up.

Then we went to Fort Casey, and traveled around the WWI fort.

Then we went to Ebey's Landing:

The next part of our exciting week was that we took them to Great Wolf Lodge near the airport.

We spoiled them with delicious fruits and vegetables:

And then it was time for them to leave.  We cried, like we always do when we say goodbye to our grandchildren.

Kathy and Bill come to visit to say goodbye to Whidbey Island

They wanted to come here one last time.  That meant a lot to us.  We went to Ebey's Landing, and then to the San Juan Islands.  Like always, everything is so easy and fun with them.

We are so grateful to have them as our brother and sister.
